Hello Fair Family:

I have lived in Eugene most of my life and in my adult years have connected to culture and arts with youth and their families. I enjoy mentoring and encouraging others to rediscover their imagination and creativity, the essence of the Fair.

I have served as youth staff for the Oregon Country Fair Culture Jam program for six years and on the OCF Diversity committee to the board addressing cultural competency, recruitment and inclusion of people of color for OCF events. In the Eugene community, I have worked with 4J School District, the City of Eugene Parks and Recreation, the NAACP, and I am currently on the CALC Board.

I have a vision of expanding the Country Fair’s mission beyond its physical borders. The world comes to Veneta for the weekend in July, and I would like to expand community outreach so that the Fair extends its vision beyond Veneta. If the Fair has a vision to increase diversity then we need to go out directly to the communities where we seek to build relationships.

I am excited for the opportunity to add my unique perspective as a woman of color who was raised in the Pacific Northwest to the Oregon Country Fair Board. I believe that my skillset that includes social work, networking, community engagement and involvement and social justice will be beneficial to the OCF organization.

Vote for me and align with the first goal of the Oregon Country Fair to increase diversity beginning with multicultural board representation.
